Thinkerbell Labs Pvt. Ltd. ("Thinkerbell Labs", "we", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you or associated with you ("personal information"), and your choices about the collection and use of your information. This Privacy Policy applies to the online services offered by the Helios Suite ("Helios", "Annie Dashboard and Analytics Platform") at companion.thinkerbelllabs.com ("Service"), and by use of the product, Annie ("Product", "Device").

Information Collection and Usage

We collect the following types of information about you:

  • Information We Collect From You Directly

    Account information: While you can use your Annie device without registering an account with us, you must create an account to use the services provided by Helios – The Annie Dashboard and Analytics Suite. We only ask for your email address when you create an account with us.

    Learner information: While the learners can use the device without a learner account, we recommend you create an account for the braille learners on Annie to track progress, provide analytics and generate reports. We ask for information such as name, age (optional), gender (optional), audio name (voice recording of the learner's name - spoken when the learner logs on to Annie, optional but recommended for best experience) when you create a learner account, or if you correspond with us.

    We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service.

    We may also send you Service-related emails (e.g. account verification, change or updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). You may choose to opt-out of Service-related e-mails by visiting your account settings.

  • Information We May Receive from Social Networking Sites

    If you choose to log in to our service via a third party connection, such as Google login, that third party may pass certain information about your use of its service to us. This information could include the user ID associated with your account (for example, your Google Account Name), an access token necessary to access that service, any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that service. The data we receive is dependent upon your privacy settings with the social network. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to our service.

  • Information Automatically Collected

    Account information: We automatically collect certain types of usage information when you visit our website or use our Service. When you visit the Site, we may send one or more cookies — a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters — to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets us help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie may also convey information to us about how you use the Service (e.g. the pages you view, the links you click and other actions you take on the Service), and allow us to track your usage of the Service over time.

    We may collect log file information from your browser or mobile device each time you access the Service. Log file information may include anonymous information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, information about your mobile device, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information. We may also collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit, your use of third party applications, and other information that assists us in analyzing and improving the Service.

    Learner information: Through the use of our device, Annie, we may automatically collect information such as when the device is accessed, who is accessing the device current progress of the learner, braille performance metrics, homework and curated lesson information, learner vocabulary, settings specific to the learner and device's input and output diagnostics.

  • Device Information Accessed Remotely

    If the user chooses to allow remote access on the device (Annie) through a setting option, it will allow us to access - all the information provided above, as well as temporary control over the device enabling us to check and modify software and health of Annie, control output mechanisms on Annie, and record real time inputs on Annie.

Use of Personal Information

We use the collected Information to provide detailed analytics, generate reports, track and optionally compare performance of the learners across a demographic that could be any of grade, school, city, state, language, etc.

We may use the individual data and behavior patterns combined with personal information to provide the learner with personalized content, and better the learning objectives and experience.

Any portion of the Information containing personal data relating to minors provided by you shall be deemed to be given with the consent of the minor’s legal guardian. Such consent is deemed to be provided by your registration with us.

Personal Data Protection Policy

We strive to comply with applicable laws and regulations related to Personal Data protection in countries where the Company operates. This Policy sets forth the basic principles by which the Company processes the personal data of consumers, customers, suppliers, business partners, employees and other individuals, and indicates the responsibilities of its business departments and employees while processing personal data.

Data Protection Rights

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request us for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that us to correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that Our Company erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

Cookies

We send cookies (small files containing a string of characters) to your computer, thereby uniquely identifying your browser. Cookies are used to track your preferences, help you login faster, and aggregated to determine user trends. This data is used to improve its offerings, such as providing more content in areas of greater interest to a majority of users.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your Information. We store the information we collect, on secure servers by Digital Ocean. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect Information it processes and maintain. Please be aware that, although our endeavour is to provide stringent security, for information it possesses and maintains, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

User communications

When you send an email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our Services.

Your consent

We believe that every user of our Application/Services/Products/Website must be in a position to provide an informed consent prior to providing any Information required for the use of the Application/Services/Products/Website. By registering with it, you are expressly consenting to its collection, processing, storing, disclosing and handling of your information as set forth in this Policy now and as amended by us. Processing, your information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, sharing, transferring and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in India. If you reside outside India your information will be transferred, processed and stored in accordance with the applicable data protection laws of India.
